In the summer it gets incredibly hot in India. I have experienced 48 degrees Celsius in Rajasthan. It is so hot that even if you drink cold water, you feel thirsty. You can shower in cold water and cool down for a few minutes, then when you get out of the shower after getting dressed etc. you are just as sweaty again! Once the air conditioning system on the car we rented went out and we were driving a distance of 41 km (from Ghaziabad to Delhi).
