Crab is not something Indian, you might say, but it certainly is. India is a large country with great variation in language, culture, traditions and eating habits. Along the coast in southern and eastern India there are many varied dishes with seafood. North Indian cuisine is the least known for seafood. In a couple of weeks I will be taking a group to southern India and on a previous trip such a dish was served on the houseboat.

We were served this fish dish on our trip to South India in 2010, the aroma is very inviting and using coconut oil and coconut milk gives it a different taste, which I unfortunately cannot explain on paper. You just have to taste it!
