Why eat pepper?

Pepper is certainly one of the most used spices in the world. Even those who don't like a lot of spices or spicy food can allow themselves to sprinkle a little on boiled eggs or on sauce. Indian cuisine is filled with the use of spices and not least many old wives' tales with spices. Here I have listed some tips, some I have heard growing up from my mother, some from the guide on our trip to a spice plantation in southern India in 2016 and some from a tiny little book I bought on my very first trip to India in 1987, entitled Grandma's Tips

Now I haven't tested all the tips and I'm like most people, I'm good for a while and use such things too, I don't have enough patience and give up. It's important to remember that you have to use these tips over time to get an effect.
