Rib sandwich

The post contains advertising links.

Sandwich actually means a light meal consisting of two slices of bread with some filling (between two slices of bread), while here at home it is more commonly used to mean a sandwich. So it would be wrong to call it a rib sandwich, even though it sounds very nice. Rib sandwich is a more correct term or what do you think?

I hate throwing away food.

All kinds of leftovers can be used to make sandwiches with different flavors, it's exciting and at the same time a great way to get rid of leftovers. I hate throwing food away, my children were raised to eat everything on their plate. However, it is debatable whether you should force children to eat, but rather teach them to help themselves several times.

Here I have tried a new variation since date glazed cutlets were so well received. It is also simple and different in taste. If you don't have ribs, you can use another type of meat or chicken. IMG_2939-2

Procedure:

  • Toast the almonds in a hot frying pan without oil or other fat. Cool and chop the nuts coarsely.
  • Melt butter in a hot frying pan and fry the bread slice until crispy on both sides. Remove and cool.
  • Place the rib slices in the same frying pan. Add the date chutney and let the slices simmer in the chutney for a few minutes until everything is well heated through.

For those who want it extra tasty, use a thin layer of date chutney on the slice. Continue with lettuce leaves, add rib slices, blue cheese, red onion rings and chopped almonds.
