Vegetarian nachos

Finger food and snacks. Sometimes it's good to just have a little good flavor without a heavy meal. Here's a variation that you can make with any kind of ground meat - chicken, pork, beef or soy ground meat. It has happened that the guest hasn't believed me that the dish was without meat, fish or eggs after eating my vegetarian nachos. The choice is yours! :)

Vegetarian nachos

6 tablespoons oil

150 g diced onion

2 cloves garlic

150 g crushed tomatoes

1 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon salt

1 tsp chili powder

(1 fresh chili)

100 gr dried soy minced meat

1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 tbsp grated ginger

2 tsp dried fenugreek

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

A bell pepper

3 tablespoons fresh coriander

Cheese as desired

Salad beans

Possibly olives

Procedure:

  • If you are using dried soy ground beef, rinse well a couple of times and soak in cold water for 20-30 minutes. If you are using ground beef, remember to use high heat and chop quickly so that it doesn't stick together too much.
  • Heat oil, fry the onion until light brown, add the garlic. After ½ minute, add the tomatoes, minced meat and all the spices. Fry for 5 minutes, add the diced peppers and fry for another 10 minutes. Finish with fresh coriander.
  • Place ground beef, nachos, beans and possibly olives in a baking dish. Sprinkle with some grated cheese and bake in the oven at 225 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve with sour cream and guacamole Enjoy :)
