Spicy green peas // Spicy green peas

In Norway we are used to a slightly sweet taste in peas and they are often steamed with a little butter. Here you can try the exact opposite, namely more spices and a lot more flavor. The chili is of course optional.

This dish is not something you will find very often on the menu, although it is tasty and very protein-rich. The peas can be served with nan , or with a dish with sauce such as a daal , lentil stew or with a raita .

I like to make this dish with mustard seed oil, but you can use regular rapeseed oil if you have nothing else. Mango powder makes this dish a little sour. If you don't have mango pulp, 3-4 tablespoons of lemon juice can be an alternative. It's also not a disadvantage that it can be made in a hurry? The recipe is for 3-4 servings.

1 tsp onion seeds
