Sweet potato fries with a touch of Indian

Since so many people don't want to eat potatoes these days, sweet potatoes are a great alternative. We don't want to use a lot of oil either, so we resort to the oven, which is absolutely great! The previous recipe was so good, so I experimented a little more because I love spicy food.

Here I have made a variation with my magic spices, to get the flavor of this I like to serve my raita mix or date chutney . I prefer to make the raita with kefir or buttermilk so that it has fewer calories than sour cream and not too sour taste. You can get an allergy-friendly variation with oat cream or soy yogurt, then use a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to get a little sour taste.

It is not necessary to peel the sweet potatoes, but I chose to do so.

SPICY SWEET POTATO FRIES

500 g sweet potatoes

3 tablespoons oil

¾ tsp salt

1 teaspoon ground cumin

½ tsp pepper

2 tsp dried mint

4 tablespoons lemon juice

Procedure:

  • Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thick slices.
  • Mix oil and all spices.
  • Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 225 degrees. This will make them crispy.
  • Drizzle the lemon juice over before serving.

Wasn't that nice and easy? Well, try it.
