Panir do pyaza // Cheese with two types of onions

Previously I taught you lamb do pyaza, try a vegetarian version with Indian cheese. Do means two and pyaza is onion so this dish is made with two types of onions, which makes the sauce more flavorful and exciting. Admittedly, there is a bit more to do, and sometimes it takes a little bit of work to make it look fancy.

Panir , the Indian cheese made with milk and kefir is actually quite tasteless, so it can be added to quite a few different spices. When we have two types of onions it gives a dominant taste and with a little cream it is balanced and gets a wonderful taste.

1 teaspoon cumin

100 g onion strips

Procedure:

  • Heat oil, fry large onion cubes until they get a little color and take them out.
  • In the same oil, add the cumin and onion strips. Fry until they get a little color.
  • Add grated garlic, ginger and tomato cubes.
  • Mix everything well and add spices. Cook everything well until it becomes like a sauce.
  • Continue with paneer cubes and large onion cubes (save some for garnish).
  • Add cream and heat everything for a few minutes.
  • Finish with fresh coriander and garam masala.

This tastes delicious with roti, nan and basmati rice . YUM, YUM!
