We have a lot of side dishes in North Indian cuisine. Raita is one of the most famous in addition to several varieties of chutney and pickles. Raita is supposed to balance the flavors and can be made with several ingredients. This time I tried some fresh colors, which resulted in a delicious taste! Here I served with spinach rice and scampi korma.
RAITA WITH POMEGRANATE SEEDS
50 gr pomegranate seeds
1 ½ dl kefir
½ teaspoon dried mint
½ tsp chaat masala
a pinch of chili powder
salt to taste
