Hooray for this tasty sauce, I was really excited about this flavor! I have always loved paprika and I use it a lot for spreads, salads and wok etc. You can vary with red/green/yellow according to taste or what you have in the fridge. I got the idea from my daughter who in 9th grade made something similar for a food and health project.

It's easy to make and can be used for all kinds of meat, I think.
PAPRIKA SAUCE:
2 tablespoons rapeseed oil
75 g diced onion
1 clove garlic
½ tbsp grated ginger
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon turmeric
1 fresh chili
¾ tsp salt
1 large bell pepper, diced
1½ dl water
2 tablespoons fresh coriander
2 tbsp Nirus date chutney
Procedure:
- Heat oil, add onion cubes. Fry the onion until golden.
- Add the rest of the ingredients except the date chutney.
- Continue to cook for a few minutes until the peppers are soft.
- Use a hand blender to smooth the sauce, season with date chutney.
Niru's tip:
It can also be served cold as a dip with roasted vegetables or as a dip. I have also used it as a filling for baked potatoes. It was simply delicious!
