Lohri is a big celebration in Punjab, the state where I was born. Punjab is located 250 km north of the capital New Delhi. The state is known for, among other things, agriculture and the production of sporting goods, fresher air than the big cities, colorful costumes and a culture filled with warmth and generosity. Furthermore, there is a variety of gourmet dishes on offer, a few of which you may already know from Indian restaurants. It is said that if you are going to experience India at its best, attend a Punjabi wedding (it will be on the blog one day).
