It was indescribably pleasant to start the trip in idyllic surroundings with the rustling of palm trees, hearing the waves just outside the window and getting away from the Norwegian November darkness to 12 days of sunshine. With 28-31 degrees, friendly people, soooo good food and pleasant experiences in southwest India.
We were at a spice plantation and got to see how and where the aromatic Indian spices are grown and cared for. Experienced the Urindish Ayurvedic spa with herbs and oils, visited the fascinating Meenakshi temple and stayed on a houseboat with a private chef on board. Furthermore, we experienced the metropolis of Mumbai, visited the famous hotel Taj, the laundry steps from the movie "Slumdog Millionaire" and a boat trip to the Elephanta caves with unique architecture from the 5th to 8th centuries (UNESCO World Heritage).
So I can boast about the first and only wine tour in India with Norwegians. Tastings of old and new wines with impressively good flavors and professional equipment and techniques for production. High-quality cooking demos with thorough explanations and recipes from the best chefs with authentic dishes and much, much more….
It was great to see how the program was received by the guests and that things went as planned. No one got sick either. The best feedback I will never forget; “It’s incredible what we have experienced in 12 days” . Many thanks to all 13 participants who gave me the opportunity to experience all this with them. I have the best job in the world!
Much more could be mentioned, but I actually can't explain and reproduce everything, because India is different and just has to be experienced! It's not without reason that it's called "incredible India" - incredible India! Now the race is set for another exciting trip in February 2017, I'm already looking forward to it!
