As you probably know, it can get terribly hot in India. Thandaai means cooling down and it is a refreshing drink that also fills you up a bit. It is also filling, like an old version of a milkshake, but can be served both hot and cold depending on the season. The cold version is most common and is served both as a welcome drink or a light dessert.
