Come May, you beautiful, gentle one…. Yes, now we have arrived in May, if only the mild weather could keep up. It is so wonderful to see the flowers in the fields again, hear the birds in the morning, it has become lighter in the evening too. We are heading towards the best time.
It's almost May 17th, time for weddings and confirmations. At all kinds of parties, most hosts are concerned that the food should be good and inviting. For me, it's also about making something different and preferably something new. How about a party punch with mango for a welcome drink?
PARTY PUNCH
2 apples
100 g grapes
3 tablespoons ginger juice
5 dl mango puree
2 limes
4 tablespoons brown sugar
5 dl brown rice
3 dl water
2-3 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
mint leaves to taste
Ice cubes
Procedure:
- Remove the skin from the ginger root and grate it. Press the pulp through a tea strainer and use only the juice.
- Cut the fruit into small pieces and add ginger juice. Let it steep for a couple of hours.
- Mix mango puree, lime, brown sugar, water, brown rice and finely shredded mint leaves.
- Serve in a glass and preferably with pomegranate seeds or lime in the glass.
