Iced tea is a refreshing alternative if you don't feel like something carbonated, a smoothie or milkshake. You may have tasted lemon and peach iced tea, but try this with my Kesar mango puree. This mango is known as the queen of the mango family and is very sweet.
If you want a thinner or medium consistency, you can use 8 dl of water. The type of chai you have is quite crucial. Too strong a type makes the taste bitter.
MANGO ICE CREAM
6 dl water
3 cardamom pods
2 tsp Assam chai
1-2 teaspoons sugar
3 tablespoons lime juice
150 gr Mango puree
Ice cubes
Procedure:
- Boil water with crushed cardamom pods, add chai and sugar. Let steep under a lid for 3-4 minutes.
- Strain and mix in lime juice and mango puree. Stir well and refrigerate.
- Place ice cubes in a glass and fill with iced tea.
