Lassi is a cool drink made from fermented milk. Basically, you can make it with different fruits, but it is not guaranteed that everything will taste so good? Mango lassi , banana lassi, sweet or mint lassi for example.
Strawberry lassi is a fusion inspired creation and gives a fresh twist. Strawberries have been used more in India over the last 10 years, just like mango here at home. If you have sweet Norwegian strawberries, you don't need much extra sweetness. It depends a bit on what type of soured milk you use, natural yogurt is clearly the most sour, then comes Biola, then kefir and finally cultured milk. Turkish yogurt is too thick, I don't use that for lassi and raita . By the way, I often make my own lactose-free yogurt.
For this recipe I used buttermilk since the strawberries were quite sour. Frozen berries can be used, but now you can get fresh strawberries almost year-round. They have actually been quite good sometimes even though they were imported.
