The apples in the garden are the best there are. Have you tried my delicious apple chutney ? Here's another tip for getting rid of apples. In Indian cuisine, chickpea flour is used as a binder in various recipes. I had the idea to test it this way and guess what, it was a hit on the first try!

MANGO, APPLE AND NUTS PIE
1 kg peeled apples
2 tablespoons sugar
5 cardamom pods
300 g mango puree
A handful of almonds
4 tablespoons chickpea flour
50 g vegan butter/oil
Procedure:
- Lightly toast the chickpea flour in a hot frying pan. Note: it must not turn brown.
- Bring the apples, ground cardamom seeds and sugar to a boil, then mash with a fork.
- Put the applesauce in the bottom, spread over the mango puree , sprinkle on toasted chickpea flour and finish with crushed almonds.
- Bake at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
