Roasted almonds

Hello everyone, it's almost Christmas and I think everyone is as busy as I am. There's a lot to do, shop for and plan.. One thing that doesn't have to take long or wait until Christmas Eve is eating these candies, if you ask me I can eat them all year round. Why don't they do that in Norway? In the US they are eaten all winter and it can safely be done here too.

Many people find it difficult to make roasted almonds, it's actually very easy so those who can't do it are welcome to ask. I usually make them in early December and wrap them in the advent calendar, it's an edible gift that can stand for a while without getting spoiled. It's well received by the girls in the house

ROASTED ALMONDS

200 g almonds

90 g brown sugar

1 dl water

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon oil or butter

Procedure:

Place almonds, sugar and water in a saucepan and boil until the water almost evaporates. Add cinnamon until it has settled around the almonds. Add oil or butter and cool on baking paper.
