Even though autumn is creeping up on us, we like to hold on to summer when we can. Indian mango is one of the best things there is, at least at home. When we travel to India during the hot weather, it is always a must for both adults and children. The taste is so good that just thinking about it makes my mouth water! So I thought I would share a recipe that is very popular both as a dessert, a snack or with food. Plus, it is very healthy!
To make mango lassi you will need:
300 g mango puree
2 tablespoons sugar (can be omitted)
5 dl kefir
2 dl water
Ice cubes
Mix together with a hand blender and serve chilled.
This fantastic taste is exactly why I chose to bring mango puree to the Norwegian market. This was something I felt we needed in our everyday lives and that gives us a closer look at the original flavors of our homeland. And not least, it gives us a little feeling of summer when we need it. Mango puree is also very good on ice cream, in fruit salads or other smoothies. It can be stored in a glass jar for 3 weeks or frozen.
Mango puree looks like this, by the way.
Hope it tastes good and keeps the summer fresh in your memory too.
